Education abroad experience leads to overseas career

²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ graduate student Jackie Farias felt a strong pull to Ireland, leading her to participate in an internship program in Dublin through ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ’s Education Abroad. After completing her internship, Farias was offered a full-time position and has been living in Dublin since January 2025.
Study abroad experience helps student master skills

Texas Woman's graduate student Martha Cruz was one of 15 SLP students that took part in a study abroad trip to Dominica. With a combination of first- and second-year graduate speech-language pathology students as well as master’s students from the distance-education program, the all-female group formed new friendships and strengthened existing ones.
Biology's Gonzalez earns scholarship to study abroad

PT student gained interprofessional experience, reward serving patients in Guatemala

Sammy Jo Shaw, a third-year doctor of physical therapy student at Texas Woman’s, was among a team of 14 graduate students and four College of Health Sciences faculty members that provided therapy services at various clinics in Guatemala. As part of a ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ experiential learning program, the group spent 10 days in May working with Hearts In Motion, an organization that offers medical care to people in need.
