Texas Woman’s graduate student receives second International Peace Scholarship

Elizabeth Timothy, a master’s student in the Texas Woman’s University Multicultural Women’s and Gender Studies Program, has been awarded the Philanthropic Educational Organization’s prestigious International Peace Scholarship for the second year in a row. Timothy’s award will allow her to continue pursuing her studies at ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ and develop two projects that support underserved women in Kenya.

Jian Zhang (computer science) has been named to the advisory board for a Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC) project partnering with the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani.

Carolyn Becker (international affairs) recently achieved  through the Forum on Education Abroad.

A contingent representing Texas Woman’s is bringing the university’s long history of diversity and inclusion to a global symposium where they hope to engage with thought leaders and further explore how to shape international education for the future.

Texas Woman’s marketing student Jessica Arroyo will be broadening her horizons when she embarks on a semester-long study abroad experience in England as a (FEA) Scholar. Only the second student from ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ to be selected as a recipient of this scholarship, she is grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow, as well as the support she has received from ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ.
