Ling Hwey Jeng, School of Library and Information Studies Director, conducted a visiting lectureship on community informatics at National Chengchi University in Taiwan. During the lectureship Jeng presented four lectures to master鈥檚 and doctoral students and gave speeches at the National Central Library and the National Chengchi University Library.

Carolyn Becker (Education Abroad) was quoted in an Oct. 7 International Education magazine article, 鈥淥vercoming Burnout to Spark Innovation.鈥� Becker was interviewed as an elected co-chair of Texas International Monthly, a statewide professional network for international educators.

Texas Woman鈥檚 University students Ashley Elliot and Demetria Ober look forward to expanding their worldview thanks to their recently awarded U.S. Department of State Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarships. The scholarships will allow Elliot, an English major, to study abroad at Harlaxton College in England for the Spring 2022 semester and Ober, a social work major, to study abroad at Universidad de Granada in Spain for the 2021-2022 academic year.
