National arts group recognizes ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ professor, alumna

Laura Lee McCartney, an assistant professor in the Division of Visual Arts, , and Makenna Connors, a 2025 BFA in Art graduate, received the Western Region Preservice Art Educator Award at the National Art Education Association National Convention in March.

The five divisions of ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ's the School of the Arts & Design are joining forces for the 2025 Circle of Light, the art-themed festival in and around Pioneer Circle between the Visual Arts Building and the Music Building on Dec. 4.

Griffiths manifests A Yellow Rose into the world

Six years of work are coming to fruition with the publication of ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ Visual Arts professor Meg Griffiths' book, A Yellow Rose Project: Responses, Reflections, and Reactions to the Nineteenth Amendment. A book signing will take place Sept. 4.

A Yellow Rose Project opens Aug. 11

The ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ Fine Arts Building East/West Galleries will host “A Yellow Rose Project,” an exhibit celebrating the centennial of the 19th Amendment, Aug. 11-Sept. 5.

A contingent of 25 ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ students will make presentations at the 2025 National Conference on Undergraduate Research in Pittsburgh, April 7-9.
