Welcome to Graduate School at ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ!

Congratulations on your acceptance to graduate school at Texas Woman’s University! You’ve taken a bold step toward advancing your education, your career, and your future—and we’re thrilled to have you here.

What you need to know

At ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ, there is a general online New Graduate Student Orientation that is coordinated by the Graduate School. You will receive communication about this from the Graduate School via email in early August and the orientation will be open starting Monday, August 18. In addition, your academic department may also have a program-specific orientation. Be on the lookout for communication from your department about what to expect and how to prepare.

How to participate in Graduate Student Orientation

On August 18th, , using your Pioneer Portal username and password. On your Dashboard, select the course titled New Graduate Student Orientation.

Orientation materials will be there for you in the Canvas site, where you’ll also have opportunities to engage with other students on the discussion board.

On Wednesday, August 20th, at 6 p.m., we will have a virtual session with current ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ graduate students. The panelists will share their experiences as graduate students at ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ. You will have the opportunity to ask questions during the Q&A session. This graduate student panel discussion is a highlight of the week; students often tell us how much they appreciate the opportunity to hear from more experienced graduate students.

Guide to Online Learning: This is an excellent resource for all students taking online, in-person, or hybrid courses. Information includes what to expect from an online course and information about Canvas and other key services available online.

IT Service Desk: This is the place to receive technology support. You can also call or live chat with a ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ employee about any technology issues. Visit ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ Technology or call 940-898-3971.
