October is Cybersecurity Awareness month

The ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ Computer Science Division will celebrate Cybersecurity Awareness Month with expert-led lectures, hands-on events and creative challenges to build awareness about protecting information in the digital world.

²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ to host Robotics Invitational Nov. 11

The College of Arts and Sciences and the Computer Science Division will host the first ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ Pioneer Robotics Invitational on Nov. 11. Teams of 2-3 students will design, build and drive robots, and winning teams will win a $1,500 team scholarship.

²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ well represented at research conference

A contingent of 25 ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ students will make presentations at the 2025 National Conference on Undergraduate Research in Pittsburgh, April 7-9.

Celebration of Science returns Oct. 17-18

²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ's annual Celebration of Science will take place Oct. 17-18 in the Scientific Research Commons and the Ann Stuart Science Complex.

Former ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ math, computer science chair Rose Marie Smith had high impact

Rose Marie O'Brien Smith, Texas Woman’s University alumna, former chair of ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ’s Departments of Mathematics and Computer Science, professor emerita and for whom a scholarship for student teachers was named, passed away on Sept. 15, 2023.
