LBJ Women鈥檚 Campaign School

The Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership (JNIWL) provides competitive awards covering 100% of the program fees for Texans attending the LBJ Women’s Campaign School (LBJWCS). The LBJWCS, a program of the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, equips change-makers of all party affiliations with the resources needed to run for elected office or build careers in the political arena.

Women regularly report personal finances as the number one challenge for entering politics. Therefore, the Center for Women in Government at the JNIWL knocks down the financial barriers to training and makes the LBJWCS accessible to Texans regardless of socioeconomic background. As of 2025, the JNIWL’s Center for Women in Government has provided access to the LBJWCS for 251 Texans.
