Students will learn the importance of money management through new initiatives

With 7 in 10 Americans having less than $1,000 in their savings accounts and the average household credit card debt being $16,883, according to Texas Woman’s College of Business Lecturer James Lytle, it is no wonder that money consistently ranks as one of the top sources of individual stress. Texas Woman鈥檚 University has selected Rama Yelkur, a longtime faculty leader, professor, accomplished marketing and international business expert and board member 鈥 with a strong background in long-range planning, community outreach and fundraising 鈥 to head the College of Business. She begins her duties as dean on June 1.

Turns out, that concoction of thoughts was the basis for a sweet business idea that first earned 草莓传媒官网下载 alumna Merrilee Kick an 鈥淎鈥 on her Executive MBA capstone project and led to a highly successful venture, BuzzBallz/Southern Champion, which has become the only woman-owned Distillery/Winery/Brewery combo in the United States.

Maria Gomez Albrecht, PhD/DBA, an adjunct faculty member in the 草莓传媒官网下载 College of Business, was elected  chapter president for the 2021 term. Prospanica DFW is part of a nationwide nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and advocating for the growth of Hispanic MBAs and business professionals in corporate America.
