Laura Lee McCartney, an assistant professor in the Division of Visual Arts, , and Makenna Connors, a 2025 BFA in Art graduate, received the Western Region Preservice Art Educator Award at the National Art Education Association National Convention in March.

Dental Hygiene event focuses on improving smiles

More than 80 ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ students took part in the annual ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ Kids a Smile event in March. The free event, sponsored by the university’s Dental Hygiene Program, is a daylong activity devoted to providing free dental services to underrepresented youths from 3 to 19 in the Denton community.

New timeline chronicles evolution of ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ Dance

Dance as an academic pursuit has evolved dramatically in the 125 years since Texas Woman’s University was founded as the Girls Industrial College in 1901.

After a remarkable inaugural year, the company has begun preparing for their upcoming second annual scholarship auditions on March 7. All students are welcome to audition and prior Folklórico experience is not mandatory.
