Beins to participate in Voices in Feminist Art reception

July 17, 2025 – DENTON – Agatha Beins, PhD, ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ professor of Multicultural Women's and Gender Studies, will be among the speakers at the reception for Intersections: Voices in Feminist Art, an exhibit at the Greater Denton Arts Council.

The reception will take place July 17 5-8 p.m., and will feature an artist talk with Aubree Dale, Christine Irving, Suzi Manrique, Karla Ramirez-Santin and Robyn Rozelle discussing their work and the social issues they explore.

The exhibit features art created by ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ students from Beins’ "Art, Activism and Social Justice" course. The exhibit will be on display until Aug. 30.

The reception and exhibit take place at the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center, 400 E. Hickory Street in Denton.

The reception and exhibit are free and open to the public.
