Texas Woman’s University recognized four of its alumnae for their outstanding achievements and contributions during the 2026 Alumni Achievement Awards celebration at ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ’s Denton campus on April 17.

 

After life-altering collision, grad committed to healing self, lifting others

After a 2013 accident left him paralyzed, Daquan Minor overcame physical and psychological hurdles to earn his Doctor of Occupational Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. Inspired by his own recovery and the therapists who supported him, Minor now plans to pursue a career to continue helping others.

A team of Texas Woman’s kinesiology students designed a pneumatic device that earned them first place overall at a NASA-sponsored statewide design competition that wrapped up on April 14.

Center awards grants to veteran entrepreneurs

The Center for Women Entrepreneurs (CWE) at Texas Woman’s University has selected five women veterans to receive $5,000 awards through its Veteran Entrepreneur Grant program, supporting business growth across Texas.
