It's the story of a family's journey through the injustices of segregation and racism, the struggles and sacrifices of the civil rights era, to finally lifting up the descendants of those who fought those fights and not only survived but transformed ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ, Texas and the world.
Center announces new round of grants for women-owned startups

StartHER, an acclaimed grant program of ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ’s Center for Women Entrepreneurs that offers financial support to women-owned businesses in Texas, is marking its sixth year and will begin accepting applications for its latest round of grants on Sept. 3. The program provides a crucial boost to women business owners, both current and aspiring.

University leaders and representatives of AECOM Hunt construction and SmithGroup architects took part in a ceremony celebrating the placement of the final beam in the ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ health sciences center. Attendees signed their names to the beam, which in the coming weeks will be set into place.
