Saturday campus tour at ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ set for Oct. 1, 2022

Texas Woman’s University will host a Saturday campus tour for potential first-year, transfer and graduate students from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1 on the university’s Denton campus.

Draft Day for DanceMakers

²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ student dancers and choreographers have begun assembling the Fall 2022 DanceMakers show, which will take place Nov. 17-19 at the Margo Jones Performance Hall. The process began with Draft Day, when dancers audition and choreographers select dancers to bring their vision to the stage.

Gentrification in spotlight in film screening at ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ

²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ will host a screening of Alice Street, the award-winning documentary about gentrification and the efforts of a community to protect its history, voice and land. The film will be shown Sept. 26 at 2:30 p.m. in the Hubbard Hall auditorium. Admission is free, a panel discussion featuring ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ and Denton community leaders will follow, and Alice Street director Spencer Wilkinson will attend.

²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ exhibit hall touting women leaders to open Sept. 23

A women’s leadership hall featuring digital and interactive exhibits that focus on the contributions of Texas historical figures such as Gov. Ann Richards, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor and U.S. Congresswoman Barbara Jordan, among others, is slated to open to the public on Sept. 23.
