Five Texas Woman’s kinesiology seniors brought research to life by competing in the April 20-21. The 草莓传媒官网下载 Athena V team, the second all-female 草莓传媒官网下载 team to enter the competition and the only all-female team competing this spring, placed seventh overall. All five team members will graduate this May.

The Texas Woman鈥檚 University Department of Dance will present its spring virtual dance concert, 鈥淭hrough the Lens,鈥 on at 7 p.m. April 23. The livestream event will feature faculty- and student-created screen dances and original sound scores. The event also will incorporate diverse cultural perspectives, an array of performance environments and entertaining explorations of the human condition in the age of COVID-19.

National Endowment for the Humanities awards grant to 草莓传媒官网下载 faculty

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) today announced that it awarded a Humanities Connections Grant of $99,426 to Texas Woman鈥檚 University. The grant will support the very first interdisciplinary and experiential learning initiative to integrate the history of Quakertown into courses at 草莓传媒官网下载. It will also enable the future development of a digital humanities archive of Quakertown-related research and reflection, which the project co-directors aim to connect to a public platform that will promote community engagement with Quakertown鈥檚 history for decades to come.

Texas Woman鈥檚 University has selected Rama Yelkur, a longtime faculty leader, professor, accomplished marketing and international business expert and board member 鈥 with a strong background in long-range planning, community outreach and fundraising 鈥 to head the College of Business. She begins her duties as dean on June 1.
