Committees

Our committees function to support the development of interprofessional education and collaboration at Texas Woman’s University through strategic planning, curriculum and activity assessment, professional development, and student engagement.

Each campus has the support of an IPE Campus Committee, made up of engaged faculty who meet monthly to develop, pilot, and facilitate student IPE activities.

IPE Steering Committee

The Steering Committee consists of Campus Committee Co-chairs, Instructional Assessment Committee members, Teaching Excellence Committee members, a Simulation Director, and a IPE Librarian. This group engages in interprofessional strategic planning for the College of Health Sciences and College of Nursing.

Institutional Assessment Committee

IPE’s Instructional Assessment Committee develops and maintains the assessment framework for the IPE office. Members create and adapt tools to measure the effectiveness of interprofessional curriculum across the College of Health Sciences and the College of Nursing. They also guide the collection, analysis, and presentation of IPE the collected data.

Teaching Excellence Committee

Teaching Excellence Committee members develop content for Teaching Excellence Trainings, a monthly offering for faculty development and instructional enrichment focused on interprofessional education and collaboration.
