Nursing doctoral student named Albert Schweitzer Fellow

Kelsie Barta, a nursing PhD candidate at ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ Houston, will be a fellow with the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship Houston Galveston (ASFHG) to spearhead a project focused on increasing access to lactation support for pregnant and postpartum women and families in the Houston area.
PT student awarded grant to study hip ailments

Libby Bergman, PT, DPT who attends the ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ Institute of Health Sciences - Houston Center, was awarded a $1,000 grant from the ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ Experiential Student Scholar Program to research methods of diagnosing hip ailments to better address pain treatment.
PT professor, co-author to expand study on aortic diseases

Texas Woman’s School of Physical Therapy assistant professor Jennifer Bogardus, PT, PhD, and a co-principal investigator have received $2 million in funding for a study on the effects of moderate exercise in pediatric patients with diseases affecting the aorta.
