²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ

An Hsuan “Sherry” Kung moved from Taiwan to Texas six years ago and transferred from the University of Texas at Dallas to ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with an emphasis on pre-occupational therapy.

She chose ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ for her degree because she admired its emphasis on providing an environment where women can achieve academic success and personal growth.  

She was inspired to study psychology from a passion for supporting mental health and helping people. She hopes to become a certified occupational therapist to help individuals with limitations better engage in meaningful daily activities on their own. 

After graduation, she plans to continue her passion in research and present a project at the Southwestern Psychology Association convention next year. In addition, she will continue to volunteer and advocate for mental health in the community. 

In addition, she intends to continue her academic journey and has applied to the entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ, and continues to work to become an occupational therapist.  

She says the faculty at ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ have made her feel at home. The encouragement and support from faculty and inspiration from fellow students enabled her to thrive and she said transferring to ²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ is truly one of the best decisions she made in her life.
