The American Library Association recently named Texas Woman’s alumna Tracie Walker-Reed (BS ’90, MLS ’07) as one of only 10 librarians nationwide to receive its annual . The award recognizes lasting contributions of dynamic librarians working in public, school, college, community college and university libraries.

²ÝÝ®´«Ã½¹ÙÍøÏÂÔØ PhD student Muchinka Peele (special education) is on a mission to help the people of Zambia. Traditionally in her home country, those with disabilities have been shamed and hidden. Education and advocacy are slowly changing these views, and Peele is leading the cause.
